    Pointless IMHO as its not a structural part and is purely for decorative purposes. Super glue or epoxy resin.

    It might actually be hidden by the top cover anyway.
    Didn’t want to try it before re assembly:-)

    Hello from Holland.
    I am having also problems with the same mirror on my A6. Have it already removed and my mirror has some kind of coating looking like a sticker . I have no idea if that is even original. What i see in all the other pictures here it looks yellowish. Mine not . it looks silver and has vertical stripes on half of it. Also looks like it has bubbles of air under it.
    Please if somebody is willing to help me get this coated properly, i would apreciate it. I cannot send PM 's yet but i will leave here my email : djclaudiu at gmail dot com.

    cflorea, Yep that's some foil on top of the original mirror. I suggest peel it of carefully, and if there is no damage to the original mirror surface (sanding marks or similar), send it in for recoating to the abovementioned company.

    What courier did you use for sending it ? What is the price for coating ? How long take to get it done? Do I have to arrange thru email first or call them ? Thank you very much for all the information !
