Just before i splash out on £50 i wanted to confirm that the above code can be the result of what the VAG boys know as N75, in my case 1K0906283A solenoid valve, and i am not barking up the wrong tree.

edit EGR solenoid valve that is

the glow plug light will flash and there will be no boost, normally happens when hot, sometimes will recover itself.

    Thanks,
    Stewart

what engine have you got? 2007 car, is it pd or early common rail? could be N75 or sticking VNT guidevanes, a bit more than 50 quid worth.

Thanks for the reply, its an ASB engine, not sure which it is as I am still learning with this car.
It started to play about and I got the carbon clean done, good job, a lot more responsive, and returning more MPG.
I used to get between 150 and 180 miles from 30 liters of fuel, now its normally above 200 and I seen 240 the last time.
But the problem didn’t really change now getting more frequent.

    Thanks,
    Stewart

OK so changed the exhaust valve, didnt fix it but changed it a bit.
It has also thrown up a P0046 and i found this:- Audi a6 3.0tdi actuator issue - YouTube

I know i should really have a scan but i see it as more of a challenge, and a scan could lead me down the wrong way very quick. I am due to get an OBDelevn in the post so will see how that goes.
both exhaust and turbo actuator seem to have full and free movement.

i am not thinking the turbo actuator as the glow plug light can come on when sitting at a red light, and she can loose power without the light on also.
A simple shut off and re-start will also fit it in both cases, i have done this will driving ( private road of course) so was doing about 40 ish and able to put power down straight away, with no issues... so that tells me not something sticky?

    thanks for watching...
