    Hello,

    I have a strange malfunction and I don't know how to solve it, on my Audi A6 4G C7, 2012, 2.0 TDI.

The GPS antenna is not working anymore. It cannot see any satellites. The MMI interface report 0 satellites and female voice is telling me "Route guidance is not active".
Plus, the clock cannot be set on automatically, because it cannot take the time from the satellites.

This problem arises after I disconected the battery a few times.
Here is what I did, step by step, in this order:
    - disconected the wire from the "-" pole of the battery
    - disconected the driver airbag and then the steering wheel
    - connected the battery again
    - locked the car with remote control
    - unlocked the car
    - disconected the wire from the "-" pole of the battery
    - conected the steering wheel and then the driver airbag
    - connected the battery again
    - started the engine to check if it's working.
    That was all the operations.

After that, I saw that the time indicated on the clock was 0:05 instead of 18:38 and entered into the menu to set it.
It was set as I left it before the first disconnection, on automatic time, but now the hour was not correct.
I switch it on manual, set the correct time and then I saw that the auto setting is not permitted anymore.
Checking the GPS, I found also that the satellites number was 0.
I left it for a long time, thinking that it should refresh the data sets from the satellites, but nothing changed not even after a few days.

Today I scanned the car with VCDS and cleared all the errors, let it for a while to refresh the data sets, but still no reception.
The guy with the VCDS told me that is looking like I have no GPS receiver.

Did I made something wrong by disconecting the "-" wire of the battery?
Is it possible that I brooked the GPS receiver?
What could be the cause of this malfunction?

Thank you in advance for your kind help!

    Edit 21.09.2017.
Solved the problem, as strange as it sound.
Disconnected the GPS cable from the back of the MMI.
Connected another GPS antenna (cheap aftermarket). The navi worked instantly.
    Disconected the cheap antenna.
Connected back the car's GPS cable.
Then... Miracle !!! Solved by itself, working again since then.
