Audi Connect - Service Currently Unavailable

I am trying to connect myAudi to my A3, but when I enter my pin after a few moments it shows a message that the service is currently unavailable, please try later. I get the same message if I try to open google maps. Am I missing something obvious? I have seen an answer on another forum that suggests deactivating and reactivating the sim but I cannot see the option for this (the car has an imbedded sim).
Anyone else having the same problem?

A few weeks ago there seemed to be problems with the connect servers and over the last couple of days I've also noticed connect not coming online. After a while it seems to work, but generally since I've had my car it works OK. Try again tomorrow and see if it works.

i called into the dealer while I was passing today and one of the salesmen had a look at it. He tried changing various settings but wasn't sure what was wrong. He gave up and booked it into the workshop for a check over. I thought I'd give it another try when I got home and it seems to be working now. I'll check it again tomorrow before I cancel the workshop booking just in case.

Good stuff. Seems like Audi connect has been a bit intermittant the last few days. Maybe just bad timing when you first tried it.

Maybe it's got overloaded with new cars registered this week! From what the dealer was saying today Audi are rolling out the service without ironing out the bugs properly. The Salesmen don't appear to have been trained very well. There are different options available depending on the model but it is not clear which has which.
The app on my phone now shows it is connected to the car, so all seems to be working ok at the moment, but if anyone else is having similar problems I'm afraid I can't help, because I'm not sure if it was something the dealer did, or just a problem with Audi Connect.
