    Greetings all from Tasmania, Australia.

I've migrated over from the GolfGTIMk5 forum, having just sold my beloved 2007 GTI. Now in a new Golf 7.5 - Trendline (similar to SE in the UK, think) 1.4tsi (150bhp/250nm) in manual transmission, of course

My first car was a 1972 Superbug, then a new 1978 Golf GLS. After a less than stellar ownership experience with the Mk1 Golf I spent the next ~20 years in various Toyotas and Subarus, with one FIAT and an Alfa thrown in. In 2007 I finally gave in to the longing and returned to my heartland with a new Golf GTI Mk5 in tornado red, leather interior and manual transmission. I loved this car to bits and it served me well - until various factors meant downgrading into a new Mk7.5 Golf 1.4tsi. As I write this I am scheming ways to get back into a Mk7.5 GTI in a year or two.

Looking forward to continuing my VW journey here.

    Cheers
    Steven
