Hello all, 2004 1.9TDI PD 4Motion estate owner here.
My rear track rods/tie bars have corroded through and VW have no parts in stock throughout the UK or Germany and no date for re-supply. Car has been off the road for 3 weeks now.
My local garage has tried VW direct and several OEM suppliers and numerous local (Scotland) breakers with no luck.

I'm wondering if anyone has the ability to crossreference the part against other similar cars please in the VAG group - the Audi A4 quattro for example, so I can widen my search with breaker yards for donor cars?

I am told it is part
    4B0 501 530C

a quick google search thinks the part might also be
8E0-501-530-M (or -J with succession chain).

If anyone has access to one of these parts you'd have a desparate man biting your arm off to get back on the road!

    many thanks in advance

    Steve

I would've thought the B6 A4 Quattro/C5 A6 Quattro/4x4 Superb (if there was one) would all be the same. The rest of the suspension is the same. Would be more expensive but you could try Audi dealer if you find a part number.

Looking on ETKA, The C5 A6 Quattro setup looks identical. And has the same part number.

That should help. There a lot more Quattro A6's out there than Passat 4mo's...

Type this part number into eBay, 4B0501530C, there's a few new ones for sale but from the US. Around £60 plus shipping.
