I'd like to fit a tow bar but they want to cut a 4" x 3" piece from the bottom of the bumper. I'm not keen on this and have 2 questions.
    1. The lower valance piece where the cut out would be, is it separate from the bumper panel?
    2. I've heard of pieces that slot in to cover the hole once the tow bar is detached. Has anyone any knowledge of one for the Alhambra?
    Thanks

ellaguru2u, my previous car was a 2011 Alhambra. I had an after market detachable tow bar fitted and they had to cut a hole in my bumper. It looked ok to be honest. The only other option I think that there was was to replace the whole bumper with one with the hole already cut out. As an aside, I have just got another Alhambra (MY17 - registered in March this year) and had an after market tow bar fitted again. This time the fitter didn't have to cut the bumper as it is a different shape to the one on the MY11 I had previously. I suspect your 2016 model has the same bumper as my 2017 one (after the 2015 face lift?) so may be the cut out isn't required?

Thanks for that. I might buy a secondhand lower panel, i think they call it a spoiler, then when I get rid it can look as factory again.
