    Hi guys im trying to remove driveshaft i have read you dont need to remove the arms but i cant get the shaft to come out it either hits on the transmision oil pipe at the tranny end and the axle dont fully come out the bearing end i have tryed wigling with no progress should i take off top control arms cheers

    Hi finally removed the shaft is it suppose to.make a suction noise vid attached guys all help.appreciated Audi cvt b7 auto driveshaft noise - YouTube

    Yes, it has a sealed boot each end which stops all of the grease escaping from the joints. The bar is hollow and so is the outboard joint (you screw the hub bolt into it) so when the joint plunges it push air in/out of the driveshaft assembly. Air comes out of the boot hole and you get a suction sound.

    Make sure you thoroughly check the boots for any splits and if they are split you will need to replace the boot and refill with grease.
