    Hi again!

seller said: "Sw was something like 6274 but not sure about the last two digits. Hw i don't remember but my bcm (can gateway is integrated into it on transporter t5) is 7h0937089FWith software version 251."

I dont know does that help me at all, but just thinking... Is it possible, the unit is some how locked to transporters IMMO or CAN or something?

Those units aren't locked to a specific car mate. My guess is that it's some sort of compatibility issue. Would be interested to know the exact HW and SW versions and compare it to a working unit.
I know it won't help you but it might help somebody else in future if it does turn out to be SW/HW compatibility issue.

It really might be SW/HW compatibility issue. But RNS i have now, is with newer HW and same SW with "not working unit".

I have already given up with this, but curious to solve it, and try to warn ppl to not make same mistake if possible.

If anything, it will be HW rather than SW.
SW is simply the software and bug fixes within it.
HW is more about actual functionality and whether the components are compatible with the other components in the car.
So it might be , that newer hardware is not compatible with older ECUs or something.
Or it might be that a very specific HW is not compatible with your specific ECU...there are hundreds of possible options to be fair

Yeah, in this case its older HW is not compatible with newer ecu... which is kinda weird too, since transporter was model 2012 and my passat is 2010

Anyway, have to pass this unit to some kind of electric guru to solve this.

    Thanks for replies!
