Be interested to hear from anyone owning a A4 Avant 2 litre FS SE petrol engine and their experiences also any problems they've had etc. as I've never seen another, just the diesels and the occasional Quattro.

Direct injection engines suffer from carbon build up in the inlet manifold and inlet valves which impedes airflow. Usually ends up with poor starting and misfires.

Remove the inlet manifold and scrape it out, do one cylinder at a time and rotate engine so the inlet valves are closed. Hoover out debris.
There are places that blast the area with media (crushed walnut shells believe it or not) quicker and easier process but obviously more costly. Installing a catch can in the positive crankcase ventilation system can help it from recurring as bad or as quickly.
It’s just a drawback of direct injection unfortunately, diesels suffers as well.

I get a whiff of snake oil here, but sort of get the principal of adding a stream of flammable gas 'Oxyhydrogen' into the intake, thereby increasing combustion temperatures and burning off carbon deposits inside the cylinder, however I can see no means of this method removing built up carbon from the intake manifold or inlet valve ports though. When I've cleaned intake manifolds it takes elbow grease, solvent and time.
