    I suppose it doesn’t matter as long as the result is your car is now fixed, it’s the not knowing what the problem was that’s irritating.

    Yes I know. When I was there this morning it started every single time, and last night when I called them. They can't find any issues atall since it's been back but prior to that they had the same symptoms. Whether it will encounter the same issues again I don't know

    Well I've picked it up and it's now at home sat on the driveway. The temp gauge starts to work then doesnt. When I got it back I switched it off and back on and the gauge worked no problems

    Get a cheap Bluetooth OBDII and torque pro lite then you can see the temperature that the ECU has, hopefully just the coolant temp sensor.

    They reckon that relay 219 under the ecu could be part of the problem for the issues. The whole thing is a mystery. Luckily after 4 weeks in the garage I only got charged an hours labour
