    Hi.

I know this has been asked so many times in the past, but cannot find a clear answer to this weak rear speak issue.
    My car is Audi A4 2007 (B7) with RNS-E and non-bose (but rear-amplified).

I went for a new unit to use Apple Carplay (although I was happy with RNS-E)- bought a new Pioneer Headunit on ebay.
Then, for steering control and the harness, I bought two type of Connects2 (002.2 and 005.2) as I was not sure which one would be correct.
I enquired to Connects2 customer Service, that was quick responsive and trying to help me a lot.
They said 005.2 would be the right one after telling 002.2 was correct at first.

However, neither of them works very well even though I connected the blue amp power wire properly - no sound is coming if I don't connect it so it must be right!?
The sound from rear speakers are too weak whichever I use.

Someone mentioned Hi/LO converter, but no sure what to do. So I made a test using two female RCA cables (to connect RCA males from the Connects2 adaptor).
Basically, stripped off the wires from female RCA cables, and connect the wires directly to the pins for RR+/RR- and RL+/RL- in ISO harness from the unit.

Now the rear output is great. It is rather too loud, so I need fade towards front like 70/30.
I am just wondering if this would damage the rear amp as the output from the unit is too high/loud for rear speaker?

Can anyone give me the proper way to make a rear amp work, please? If I have to buy Hi/Lo converter, I am happy to buy it.
But not sure where/how should I connect. I hope anyone gives me clear instruction, please.

    Thank you.

Man, I'd love to be able to help, but, with those same problems, I just used an aftermarket 4 channel....no need to fade. Running wiring was not too bad, but more intrusive than some people might like. If you can't get any other answers, and decide to go this route, I'll give you a play-by-play, so you can learn from my mistakes.
