    Hi all

I was just about to order a Skoda Superb when I thought I'd check out A6 pricing. I was shocked to see some huge discounts via carwow etc., great finance rates, and large deposit contributions.

Are these a good buy at the moment or am I missing something? I can get a 3L A6 for less than the monthlies on a Superb, which to me seems a no-brainer when the Audi is clearly a cut above.

The usage is a practical family car for me to commute 20 miles each way.

    Recommended? Thanks.

For sure. New one around the corner hence OTRP discounts and the audi will not depreciate anywhere near like the skoda will so better monthly figures if you're pcp'ing

The new A6 will arrive soon, therefore the prices low.

The Superb is a very good car, it's huge, mostly for the back seat passangers, a Laurent&Clement edition is something, which is really impressive. To compare these cars, I suggest to think about the:

    - insurance/service costs in advance - for me the Superb's conditions seems far cheaper.
    - even a basic A6 could be better then the very best Superb, IMHO you better check the exact configuration, as in some cases you can miss several features from an A6 which you can get in a Superb.

In my case, I would by an A6 if I want to buy a car now, and the only opponent is a Superb, but it's only an IMHO.

Other things to think about is the road tax.
Even a simple A6 with a few options will push it over the £40k(retail price) mark and you are paying £500 road tax for the next 3 years.

Whatever you choose, give Ros and Autoebid a tinkle.

I got 27% off my A6, great finance deals and contributions etc. All via main dealers.

Even though the A6 is being replaced next year, it is still a very good car, no Skoda has an interior that's as nicely put together as an A6.
If you like it....go for it, they are certainly good value at the mo!

I had an A6 Allroad BiTdi which was a fantastic piece of kit but sadly I didn't do the miles so it had to go. Mine was a sport model and with just £1000 deposit, 10k a year I was paying £530 a month on a 4 year PCP. It's a lot of car for the money.

Tbh, now is the time to get the last of the current A6 C7, if you want one. They are truly superb cars! Just make sure you get the bells and whistles you want!

I was so pleased with my 2014 BiTdi I went for another one (dont usually buy same car again) but wanted petrol so went for the S6, which is an absolutely fantastic bit of kit! A "little" different than the diesel to say the least.

My actual first time testing one was in a 2014 A6 Tdi V6 with "only" 204bhp which I was very impressed with.....
