Hi All, I am trying to fit a keyless entry system in my daughters 62 plate Polo.

This is the kit I purchased from eBay

    IMG_20170820_072804.jpg

I've located and split the wiring loom in the footwell and used scotch locks to tap into the +ve and -ve and connected the white wire from the central locking box onto the blue wire (following the instructions from this thread 2010 Polo Remote Central Locking (Replacement/Installation) - Page 4 and this image from the instruction manual

    IMG_20170820_073037.jpg

however the system is not locking/unlocking the doors.

I noticed that there is no closing signal in the wiring diagram so I am not sure that I have done this correctly?

I've scoured the internet for instructions but they all seem to be for the Rclick system?

I had a look at the sellers website and noticed at the bottom of the page it says

    relay_required.png

In none of the instructions have I seen anything about adding a relay?

Has anyone successfully added one of these sytems to a Polo? Does anyone have a diagram/photo/instructions that show which wire from the central locking unit goes to which wire in the loom?

I appreciate any help with this project (I thought it would be a fairly simple project.... it never is).

    Thanks in advance.

    Ste

There doesn’t appear to be any close signal in those instructions, reading between the lines it is only advertised as a keyless entry system so could be right.

I can’t find that exact system on eBay but there are loads for around £25, if that’s all it cost I’d be extremely cautious as I highly doubt it has any encryption so anything that transmits on its operating frequency (around 433Mhz at a guess) could open your car!
