Hi as the title says really sometimes the battery light flicks on for 10 seconds or so in very very heavy rain or if I go through a big puddle. Steering goes heavy as well but once the light turns off car goes back to normal. No fault codes have been stored from this. Guessing it's just the aux belt slipping? Time for a new belt to fix it? Cheers

Do you have the engine under tray fitted? If not it could be due to water splashing up onto the crank pulley and that drives the aux belt.

If the steering is also going heavy then belt slipping sounds most likely, maybe your tensioner is seized and letting the belt run too slack?

No under-tray isn't fitted car didn't come with it. I'll have a look at the tensioner tomorrow see if it's moving as it should when the engines running. Cheers guys.
