Really weird rear light problem ..Help!!

I have a 2011 Audi Q7 and recently I noticed that when I brake the brake light comes on but also the indicators illuminate aswel!!
I've never had this issue before and nothing pops up on the dash.
Any help would be appreciated

I was thinking bad earth but not sure exactly??

I had issues with the rhs loom to the rear lamp unit on a late 2006, it used to throw a warning lamp indicating a blown rear taillight when the bulb was actually fine. I replaced the short section of loom in the boot door and perfect since. The original factory loom was very poorly made with poor connections. The replacement loom which I bought in 2015 had slightly heavier gauge cables and was of better quality overall. It was about €20 from memory.

Poor (often burnt) earth connection to the rear lights units, this causes the earth to be drawn through other consumers so making them glow.
