Crasher first off thank you so much for your time in helping, P2002 is a code that the car keeps throwing up???

I have it in the garage on Monday so will get full print out of codes as not sure how to do it as my code reader is very simple.

    Again thank you

    18434 (P2002) - Particle Filter Bank 1: Malfunction

I would say that you are going to need to have the DPF removed and cleaned plus a new pressure sensor then calibrated. Then the DPF Ash Mass should be set to about 40% of the maximum (a cleaned DPF should not be set to zero) and the systems learnt values erased and the the filter put through a forced regen to finish off the cleaning and see how it goes from there. I have three cars in today for DPF cleaning, a Golf 7 and two A6's, one the same engine as yours and one common rail.

    Crasher,

When I have the car remapped which again was amazing and truly gutted that I took it off, it burnt through sensors within 2 days. Also had the clutch slipping so took it back to garage I bought the car from. When I got it back the guy said he sorted it. I have no idea what he had done apart from f*ck up my mapping as it smoked and I mean really really bad. Took it back to remapping place and they said that the garage had corrupted the file so had the map put back on. Still had the issue of black smoke when booted at low revs but didn't burn through sensors.

I took car to Audi specialist and they said it doesn't look like the dpf has been tampered with but again black smoke on tick over. Just don't know which way to turn.

The way I would approach it is have the ECU flashed back to standard using ODIS through the SVM system so that means the Audi dealer or a specialist with ODIS and GEKO access. Then, the DPF would come off for a clean and rebuild. Only when the engine is standard with a clean flowing DPF will you know what you are dealing with, the remap could quite easily be all of your problems.

Thank you, I'm doing a quick service this morning and replacing the egr cooler as it has crack in it, then off to the garage to drop it off so will ask them to do it. Thank you

Ok so new suspension and springs and an mot later.... I spoke to the garage (Audi vw specialist) and they said someone has f*cked with dpf as they have used nylon nuts (not seen it so not sure) as they have melted, class work boys, so I'm going to get car back and have a look to see what the previous owner has done to the dpf. Going on from this the garage said it passed the emissions test no problem but it's blowing blue smoke on tick over and it's bad (to be honest I thought it was grey and black). They said its burning oil but I've never noticed it as only having the car a short period. Does Topping oil up too much cause this?

Crasher being a star so far any ideas?

The DPF will be an empty can so you will have to start with a new DPF and pattern ones are a disaster so it's genuine only. I get the new number as being 8E0 254 750 HX and these are Ł1363.06 EXCHANGE so if they notice the guts are missing them may refuse the exchange. I have used aftermarket versions of these and ended up taking them off and putting genuine ones on because the owners were getting constant DPF warnings.
