My 2.0 tdi b8 (2008) 143 has reached 125k. Mainly motorway miles since I bought it at 70k last year.

It had a new clutch and dmf before I bought it.

Since I've had it its been faultless. Only dpf pressure sensor failed and I replaced it myself. Brakes (calipers and pads) were changed around 20k ago and there is a slight warp/sticky which I'm having fixed in a few weeks.

Other than that its been great. Pleasure to drive, cabin is comfortable and still feels new - no noticeable creaks and rattles. Really pleased. Jobs coming up:

    1 cambelt and waterpump change
    2 normal service
3 all brakes removed and seen to

Looking to get alloys resprayed (no chips/scuffs just paint peeling) and front and back bumper resprayed.

I'd be interested to hear from anyone with higher mileage and reliability?

My S Line saloon is also a 143 manual and had done 128k when I bought it 4 and a half years ago. Now it has done 214k miles and the engine purrs along very nicely and economically and the gearbox is silky smooth.
No reliability issues to report so you should be in for a few more years of enjoyable motoring.
I do change my oil and filter every 10k miles using Quantum longlife oil.
I have of course changed the brake discs and pads all round and it had a new clutch and DMF about 30k ago and I had a cambelt and waterpump job done at 140k.

I know that I should touch wood before writing this, but actually, I have not been conscious of it at all. Never even been conscious of a regen taking place. It might as well not be there, but presumably is. Of course I very seldom drive for less than 20 miles at a stretch, which presumably keeps things as they should be.

When I owned my a4 b8 2.0tdi it was absolutely faultless!! The the two years i owned it I only replaced 1 ball joint and a control module ecu. I had the dpf removed on mine since it started to regenerate quite often.

    Hi

    Mine is at 193,000 miles.

Crank position sensor stopped the car working altogether.
Got cambelt position sensor changed when had cambelt and waterpump done as a precaution.
And got this bracket from America to fix the p2015 problem -

A fix for CR TDI fault code P2015 intake manifold flap implausible signal

Still going strong touchwood at 193,000.
