Hello,
I've been having what seems to be a fuel flow issue with my Golf.

It all started when the fuel pump that sits in the tank broke whilst driving back in March, prior to that, there were no symptoms at all.
This was replaced but since then, every now and then, randomly will won't start. It tries, turns over but missing that last bit to actually get the engine running.
There has been some performance issue too in that when flooring it, it's like the demand is too much and there is a mild jerking, almost like a blockage is preventing the fuel flow.

The car starts just fine if you use a little brake fluid or easy start to get it to fire up but as mentioned, it starts on 3 cylinders, if you then rev it slightly, the forth cylinder comes to life.

I have two good friends, both experienced car mechanics who have been working on this together and so far the following has been done.

Changed fuel filter
Changed fuel filter housing
All injectors tested by a specialist - no fault found
Wiring loom that sits in the oil replaced (can't remember the exact name of it)

We're now running out of ideas because it doesn't make much logical sense anymore and I was wondering if anyone has had a similar issue and been able to resolve it?

Thanks in advance for any help

Lee
