What to buy? 2.0TDI, 2.7TDI or 3.0TDI and what to look out for

Facelift started from september 2008, but there are models pre-facelift first registered even in 2009. The one that you found seems with good equipment and I think is the last prefacelift model. In my opinion the cars which are produced on the end of their production life are the best buy.

I agree, here in Oz I tended to buy the last of a series.. all problems sortted out.

Question re the 2.7 apart from not being Quattro is there any reason to not look at these?

I would just wait it out, as soon as you buy a 2.7 the world will be awash with 3.0 quattros!

If you buy a 2.7 then every time you get behind the wheel you will wish you had bought a 3.0 Quattro. Better to wait a little while for the car you want than regret for a long time the car you bought.

Fair enough. Yeah I'm thinking that I probably will want the 3.0.

There's 2 cars that I'm keen but the owners are currently on holidays.

09/2007 3.0 auto. New injectors and a few bits and pieces with approx 210, but has full s line

05/2008 Allroad with 270k but full audi service history. MoT came back perfect. No issues with air suspension.

The only thing that worries me is the k's but I've seen A6s in Austria with 350-400k goung firm on money so figure that if looked after the cars go well for that amount of ks.

That's kilometres not miles! Low kilometre ones are 14000 Euros plus against 9000euros

I was looking some reviews on youtube of A6 3.0 TDI with more or less 500000km and still going strong. Of course, it is preferable to buy car with less km and younger.

Of course! Here in Australia I change my cars at approx 75,000 kilometres if bought new and 150,000 second hand. In Austria I don't want to commit 20k plus Euros on a car (yet). My plan is to have my first car in Austria for at least 2 years which will be approx 30-40k's of driving for the 2 years. By that time I'll hopefully be in a position to buy 2014/15 4G's.
