1.6 petrol or TDI? I would have thought it should have a plastic engine cover but they aren't cheap to buy? If it did have one fitted there should be 4 ball ended studs sticking up from the engine that's where it fits.

If you have the 4 ball ended studs then it should have a plastic cover. You still haven't said if its 1.6 petrol or TDI.

    e.g.

ETKA calls it: Cover for intake manifold 1.6 TDI with VW sticker engine code CAYB CAYC - 03L 103 925 B was dropped on 01/01/2011 for 03l 103 925 AR - £99.36
    Cover for intake manifold 1.4 TSI with VW sticker engine code - 03C 103 925 BF was dropped on 01/11/2010 for 03l 103 925 BR - £95.71

    Cylinder head cover 1.4 TSI engine code CAXA - 03C 103 475 BC was dropped on 01/03/2013 for 03C 103 476 CD - £183.54

If you still want one go to a dealer with your VIN number and check the part number and price?

I don't know it there is a thread on here, I've searched but I can't find anything useful. I've made threads on my other forums.

    e.g.

    Options Sticker and Engine Codes

There should be a sticker on top of the timing belt cover but they always miss a letter off 4 character engine codes mine says CBB which is CBBB.

The data sticker should be on the first page of the service schedule the other half of that sticker is on the boot floor next to the spare wheel well.
