Got a compliment yesterday.... A6 vs S6

Went to a party warehouse yesterday yo pick up some helium and there was an S6 avant parked out front. I nipped inside and when waiting asked the chap who popped out if it was his (not his, bosses I assume) and he said mine sounded much better

Nice! I really do love the current facelifted A6 in all it's forms.

However, although my 2.0 Quattro is far nicer than I've previously been used to. I soooooo wish I'd waited a bit longer to save some extra cash and go for the 3.0 instead.

The Bitdi is a great engine considering it's a diseasal. It does go well and the sound isn't too bad (Especially with the sound booster connected).

It confuses everyone as it sounds good and shifts. I'd love a drag race off the lights using the launch mode! Maybe even against an S6. My best timed 0-60 is 4.9 seconds using the lap timer

Sound booster? Not an Audi owner but interested. Is that standard or aftermarket.

Aftermarket module, standard exhaust sound generators. Just plugs into the factory fitted exhaust sound module (only on BiTDi) to give an option of engine sounds

Mine on 5 always turns heads when I am passing... on 6 I get old people shaking their heads and others stopping to look or asking if it really is an A6 lol.

All this talk about the BiTDi and sound boosters is making me feel inadequate, I'm defo going to have to have the BiTdi next, I should of held out for one instead of my lowly 3.0TDi Multitronic.

I have been looking at this add on, did you go for the remote key fob to change the sounds or just stick with the button you press in the cubby hole in the boot ?
