    Guys

I am looking to take my c7 over to the continent in a couple of weeks time. I don't have the adaptive headlights so don't have the option to change the headlight beam on the MMI. Searching on forums I am not sure whether it is possible to get this done with vcds on 66 plate 3.0 Quattro. Is there a manual way to do it or if anyone is around west/south yourkshire area with vcds and the know how I am happy to travel to get this sorted. Any help would be appreciated cos don't fancy taking to the dealers.

    Thanks for your time.

    Raj

There's an option in the mmi
It's under vehicle settings-exterior lighting-lights for driving on right
Car needs to be stationery to turn it on
My pre with xenons had it and both my fl with standard led has that option

Thanks A6S. Just been outside to check it out and definitely not in the MMI options. Tried with engine on and off. Only options are automatic headlights..lights when unlocking and lights when leaving the car.

What spec is yours? Se with xenons or Sline with the standard leds?
Could be a software update needed in mmi.
To be honest it doesn't do a huge amount. Against a wall in the dark all you will see is the peak at te top of beam disappear but i guess it will make all the difference driving on the wrong side of the road.
    Edit:
Just had a quick look at the manual and it says it's there for all cars with navigation. All uk spec cars have nav so should have it.

It is the se with xenons. isn't there a manual hex screw in the light unit to turn to get them lowered. Or shall I stick one of those stick on beam benders to get by?

I would take it to dealers and get them to sort it. It's under warranty so best not to faff about in case you break something.
I would say the manual says this and the option isn't there. It's there in your mates cars.
I have the mmi plus(tech pack) so it might be in a different place in the menu for the rmc mmi.

They shouldn't charge you anything if it's a software update or issue.
Just say it isn't working and it's under warranty

On my 61 plate I had to use VCDS to enable the option within the MMI

    [Coding - 07]

Click on byte 4 and enable bit 6

I recall reading somewhere, can't be sure if it was on a forum or in the handbook, that the xenon beam pattern on the facelift A6 is such that it does not need adjustment when switching from driving on the left to driving on the right
