I was disappointed with the lack of sunglasses holder in my A6 s-line BE and decided to retrofit it. I did not want spend a fortune for OEM part and after searching online found this:
    New!!For Audi A6 C7 2012 - 2015 Car Front Sunglasses Holder Glasses Case 1pcs | eBay

It took 2 minutes to install and works great! I removed the driver overhead handle and put a sunglasses holder instead.

Well yes, but I think, nobody tried to put a sunglasses there during the production period.

I tried with mine, and it was impossible to put it there, so currently I had to put my sunglasses into the armrest. Honestly, that place is also slightly smaller then it was in my former C6, so I think, the design was more important then the usability.

This retrofit seems a very nice finding for me, as it's cheap and easy to revert to the factory default, if you are not satisfied with it.

My came without it. I believe you need a storage pack to have this option. I also retrofitted rear armrest cup holders as they were also missing. Judging by your post I have not missed much by not having oem sunglasses storage. There is a thread on one of the forums with the parts needed for the roof light panel with sunglasses storage but the cost is like 600£ ????

My car has storage pack and unfortunately the sunglasses holder is still missing

You have to have the full Ambient lighting package as it's in the LED overhead unit. I have the interior lighting pack and because it is still halogens there is no holder!

Retrofit to full LED coming soon!

My previous C7 didn't have it - MY15. However my new C7 - MY17 has the sunglasses storage and have no problem with fitting glasses.

I haven't got the ambient pack or the storage pack. This must have been a tweak for MY17 as also the interior lightening is now LED.
