    Fitted: RNS-E Mk1

does anyone know that if i have the RNS-E mk1 and it shows SW=X (meaning hacked SDS), that if I buy a new satnav disc say 2016 will it work as normal or will the SDS part cause it too play up? (I am unaware of what software/firmware the satnav is running as it shows SW=X

Your previous post is a big clue about the root cause of your problem. You could try asking the supplying dealer to "do the upgrade" for you once you establish the cost. Failing that there are trusted aftermarket upgraders who should be able to answer your question and do the work, Hazydayz spring to mind.
Probably in a pit underneath a steam loco somewhere.
