2 year service plan from Audi Edinburgh .... anyone tried this

My Q7 is getting it's oil change at 9,500 miles in a couple of weeks. i think this is nearly £250.

The dealer has offered me a two year service plan - so this oil change and the 20,000 service for £595 including the VAT. As I think the 20k service is around £400 this seems like a good deal

Anyone had any experience of this??? Does it sound OK??

I was showing as needing an oil service at similar mileage and was told by Edinburgh Audi it didn't need it until around 19,000 miles and to just reset the service interval indicator.

Thanks Gyro - how long had you had the car? I'm coming up to a year now... so showing needing oil change on both mileage and time

Thought it was 2-years or 20,000 miles? Whichever came first.

Got it in the middle of October last year, so only nine months ago however it was about six weeks ago I got the oil message and spoke to Audi. Ragebe you've just jogged my memory - that's exactly right and was confirmed by Audi hence they told me to reset.

I know this not the same in UK but in Aus I get 5yrs warranty and 3yrs free servicing for no extra cost.

I'm going to do the oil myself at 10k/1yr - I know modern oils are good, but fresh oil will always be better than year old oil. Haven't checked how much she holds yet, but getting genuine filters, oil a fresh washer and some time from me will probably save me other costs in the long run.
