My wife has new A6 SE Executive with standard manual seats. I managed to find some a7 (c7 so should the same platform) s-line electric seats. Is it just the matter replacing the seats? I know that memory thing will not work as I'm not getting door cards, but is everything else going to work or it's more complicated that that. Like, is there a standard loom in my wife's car already, so I just plug new seats.

    Thanks in advance.

    Electric adjustment won't work either.

Uh, that's kindof major issue, I imagined that all that's needed is power to the seats for adjustments to work. Is this something that can be coded or just too many things to make it worthwhile?

I'm coming from bmw land, first audi, so no idea if what I'm asking is making any sense.

You'd want it wired in properly as per factory so you need access to factory wiring diagrams. Don't be butchering it.

Yes they will work. Seat heating too as long as you already have it. Original seats have power lumbar and full electric seats use the same loom to power them fully. Only difference is there is a thermal fuse for the full electric version and the manual version use 5A fuse which can be upped to 10A to prevent it blowing

Thats's what I was hoping for. I do have seat heating and electric lumbar support too. Morski, do you know if rear seats from a7 will fit in a6 sedan?

I know for a fact they fit the avant but cant confirm the seat backs will fit the saloon. The seat base is the same. Are your current ones manual folding ones?

As far as I know, they are. they have little locks on top of where the lever is. Thanks very much for taking the time, I'll document this with pictures.

I asume it's best to disconnect the battery before removal as to prevent any messing up with airbags?

Not just "best" but essential and I think general advice is to wait at least 30 mins to allow the capacitors to discharge before doing anything. Last thing you want is an airbag going off while you are working on the seat
