I lost both rear indicators a couple of weeks ago. Currently on vacation and weather in sweden sucks so thought I would spend some time with my beloved crappy A4 and find the fault.
As a highly skilled mechanic as I am, I traced the fault to the CECM, if you find the fault within 4.5seconds I will give you a candy.
I did a cool fix for the moment and now all indicators work, but the line on both front left and right will probably burn from the high current and also the indicators flashes fast

Has anyone managed to find the same transistor as the burned one? Or am I looking at swap + reprogram?

OK, so firstly you are looking for a VND830SP (not WND830) - data sheet here:

    www.st.com/resource/en/datasheet/vnd830sp-e.pdf
Farnell have them in stock, £3.19 each:

VND830SP-E STMICROELECTRONICS, Dual Driver IC, High Side, 5.5V-36V Supply, 9A Out, 30 µs Delay, SOIC-10 | Farnell element14

So changed the damaged chip, indicator on right side works ok.

I guess there's a different chip for each indicator?

Problem is that I can't see damages on any of the other chips, but it should be the next one to the right of the damaged one as they both are VND830, all other ones are other models.
