Air conditioning belt question

I have a quick question
My aircon has never worked since i got the car
I still have the belt on the aircon pump,i never use it and it never gets warm enough to use it in ireland
Is it ok to just run the car without the belt,will it cause any problems
Basically i just want to take the belt of the aircon pump

If its got its own dedicated belt its ok to remove,if it goes round the alternator etc no unless you can get a smaller serpentine.

Yes its got its own small belt,goes around crank small tensioner underneath and then around aircon pump and back to crank,the other belt runs the altenator,steering pump,i suspect a squeaky noise is coming from the area and have no need to be running air con pump as i never use it.Cheers
