    Hi,

So the 'Beast' is due for an audi service on Thursday. I am having everything I need done at an extortionate price, but it's my peace of mind!!!

I recently downloaded an AMI update so I can plug my Ipod in!!! (Thanks A6_Chris)

Now I wanna update the whole MMI 2G with colour screen to the latest specification! (software/FIrmwear ... whatever) and I would like to update the SatNav to the latest MAp....

I found this: AUDI A6,A8,Q7 MMI HIGH 2G, FULL SW + MAPs 4CDs "5570", FULL SET Latest on 2013 | eBay

IS this what I need ? Can I trust it?

    Help

You can only trust the ebay feedback which in the case of this seller looks pretty good with 995% good feedback on over 1000.

Stuff looks genuine too so I'd say go for it.

Once run you may need VCDS to re-enable some features(like battery meter if you have it already)

Postcodes for a A6/C6 will always only be 3, 4 (or max of 5 characters) so examples would be:

    3) M4 2
    4) M11 4
    5)WA13 9

Never had a problem with it myself and it always seems to find the destination once the street name/no is input.

Don't expect miracles though, I updated to 2013 Nav and a main road near me that was completed in 2007 still isn't on there...despite being on googlemaps since 2009...but I live in sleepy Somerset and not a major city.

How on earth can this be fully genuine? I know the firmware update CDs are cheap as chips but the 2013 Navigation update should be £150-£200.

I think what you'll end up getting is the genuine firmware update CDs (3 of them) and a copy of the Nav DVD

"You will get NEW Genuine boxed sealed set 3CDs + Navigation DVD Europe 2013"

If the Nav DVD is genuine I'll be VERY surprised, but at that price you could chance it I guess.

Not genuine, I paid quite a large sum for a genuine 2013 disc from Audi this year.

Do a search for '5570' on here and you'll find a few threads giving you tips on the firmware update. Check yor current version by pressing CAR, SETUP, then one of the inner keys, I think it's options then version information.

As Mark says you'll never get full postcode on 2G, only 3G+ cars ie everything from 2012 onwards.

The yearly disc will use the previous years map pack, ie a 2013 disc will use data collected from throughout 2012 for example.

I bought a similar set off eBay and the nav map was fine for about half an hour but would stop working and say check navigation disc so I would only buy genuine

I have MMI 3g (not 3g+) in my 2010 A4. I am toying with upgrading the map info, but only if I get 7-character postcode search. DO I understand from above that the firmware on my MMI does not support 7-character search?
