'Frog' noise over 40mph

Yes its a strange as it sounds in the title, am away on a short break and after driving in France for around 100 miles I noticed what both my wife and me can describe as a frog type (but metallic) noise coming from what seems to be the driver front side of the car.

It only starts when car is travelling around 40mph and isn't loud as such but without any music on it is definitely audible over any road noise etc. It seems to go quieter when up to 60-70mph but I am not sure if that is because its speed related ie wheel noise and as it speeds up so the noise gets quicker and less audible if that makes sense?

It hasn't got any worse during the short journeys we have made since arriving but is still there whenever we go out and about

I know is almost impossible to diagnose from the description above but anyone have any idea whatsover, my only possible thoughts would be wheel bearing but on a 12 month old car with 10k miles seems a bit unlikely and frankly I have never heard of that type of issue on modern cars?

Appreciate any thoughts before I book it in at the local Audi shop to be investigated?

Hadnt even considered the connection till you mentioned it, nope this is a serious question and honestly the description really is how it sounds, in fact my wife said it almost sounded like the beginning of the bud light frog advert but obviously much quicker than the sounds they make on the ad.

I was going to try and record it but its just not loud enough, although clearly audible with the music off.

Could be your seat. Mines developed a squeaky type noise and waiting for warranty to get fixed. Already had a seat base replaced.
Try shifting your weight around the seat and see if it's creating the noise.

Did wonder that but definitely external as louder when drivers side window is open

Could try moving your wheels round front to back in case they have uneven wear.

Possibly dry rubber mount somewhere on the suspension. Shouldn't be on a 2016MY but you never know with Audi

Booked in for Thursday, am awaiting the 'we couldnt find any problem' response afterwards but will keep fingers crossed they actually do a good job and find the problem!
