I've recently had a new clutch and flywheel fitted in my car and i don't know if im actually happy or not...

When the pedal is flat down the first inch off the floor feels almost a little gritty and when ive been driving 10mins + i get a kind of judder/vibration through the pedal which becomes more frequent if i flick the throttle like its happen on rotation of something?

Second thing is sometimes when i'm pressing the clutch in the car lurches very aggressively like i would have thought dipping the clutch would be smooth but it really jults the car every now and again?

Finally sometimes when i change gear i engage the clutch but as i go to accelerate the car starts to move but vibrates a little bit and i feel it in the pedals like somethings is slipping or juddering?

Not sure if these are the kinds of things to expect after a new clutch? I look it back to my mechanic and he said it seems fine to him but offered to change it if i want... i don't want to be that guy that just has things replaced without finding out if theres actually an issue!

Is it something common with a new clutch or with LUK? Should i ask for Saches instead??

    Thanks guys!

LUK are a reputable clutch supplier - warranty 2 years. I would take it back to the whoever fitted it and get them to sort it.

Would you say what i am experiencing isn't something i should expect from a new clutch? I've only ever had a new clutch in a single mass peugeot so can't compare to past experience?

    Quick update!

Wouldn't say i'm exactly over the moon with the clutch still however changing the snub mount on the front of the engine as helped. It seems like i had the original foam snub mount they stuck in these VAG cars around my cars age or something?! I have changed over to a PowerFlex snub mount which when putting the old and new side by side was like night a day. The foam one can actually be squeezed with one hand and the other takes two to get some movement! Has cleaned up a little sloppiness in the drive.

    Further update!

Asked my mechanic to come for a drive with me yesterday so i could explain when i find the most judder and hate for my clutch! He then realised after a drive that something really isn't right and has agreed im not crazy and its not all in my head!

Cars going back in on Monday so fingers crossed this is going to help! I will report back either way for anyone else who finds this post in the future!

Replaced LUK clutch and flywheel with SACHES. Personally found the pedal softer and clutch biting smoother. Still running it in atm!. Judder was still there and as a result changed both drive shafts. Turns out inner CV joints had play in them! Car feels like a right champ now transmission wise! He even threw in a gear box oil change which was nice of him.
