As an update for any others with Crafter overhead light issues...

I replaced the whole unit (with identical part number).

That sorted it. Now the lights, alarm & rain sensor work.

Most importantly to stop it happening again I sealed up the aerial using a flexible outdoor sealant (not acetoxy based- you don't want corrosion!) and made a plastic cover for the light unit as a back up to keep water leak or just condensation off the circuit board.

All interior lights and alarm system are controlled by the circuit board on the top side of the interior light unit, in the cab headlining, front and centre.

    Previously.....

"There are two fixed clips on the left and two spring clips on the right (looking up), nothing front and back.
Insert a thin blade to depress the clips while pushing the unit to the left. Mine virtually fell out as the headlining has been weakened - I don't think it was the first time the unit had been removed.
Go careful - if the headlining gets deformed the clips won't hold firmly and the unit will fall on your head when your driving!"

    Good luck.

The pic earlier in this thread was forwarded by 'BrianHale'. I put a red ring around the immediate area where the fault was on mine and posted it up. I'm afraid it's the only pic I have available. The fault(s) may be in a different place on yours anyway - check the circuit continuity near the main input plug socket and work away from there. The fault is probably caused by moisture, so pay attention to any of the board doesn't look 'new' and clean.

    Hi
    I,m a new member with a crafter 2015.
I sent my light unit to someone who said that they coul repair it. It turned out that they say they cannot. That,s fine. However they have not returned it, and I stupidly left the sensor attached to the unit , with a brown connector which connects to the lead from the roof.
    I think I've been had.
The sensor is the real problem. Any ideas.
    Jim
