    Hi

Was on my way back from work and due to our glories weather today I noticed my wipers don't work on intermittent setting, the will swipe when I move the dial from 1-4 clicks but then won't do nothing until I change

    Example:
1 to 2 swipe then nothing
    move
    2-3 will swipe then nothing

Now my car is fitted with auto light do this mean is fitted with auto wipers? if that is the case the sensitivity must be incorrect or something not working as it should.

    Anyone can help?

    Ade

Yeah a bit, is that screen damage or sensor? Due to this damage need to convert back to normal intermittent wiper, already tried to disable rain sensor in vcds but no result, do I need to change something else?

Difficult to tell from a picture if damage is on the screen or the sensor surface itself. Most likely to be the sensor not the screen however. There is a thin glue layer film and it could be someone has tried to unsuccessfully remove it.

Just been out to have a look on that sensor, once I remove rear view mirror and the metal brackets not pushing on sensor the whole area that looks like scratched on picture turns black, once mirror is back on I'm back to what you see on that pic, could it be as simple as gel pad problem between sensor and glass? auto lights work fine, also managed to sort out the use of std intermittent wipers, deactivate rain sensor and unplug it but at the same time you will lose auto light not something I am worried about but I do like things to work on car as they should.

How to remove the sensor with out damaging? do I need to remove bracket or the bracket is only to hold mirror in place? I'm sure or at least it feels like the sensor is glued to windscreen.

OK I managed to remove sensor and that what it looks like, think I got my answer gel pad damaged, someone replaced windscreen cutting old one out and just putting back on new one

Is the a way to just replace gel pad or is new sensor time?
