New to site so apologies if I make any mistakes.

Currently have an S-Line 2010 Q5, nice car, great drive when it is not up on blocks.

Looking to change and visited a showroom yesterday having found a very well specced 2016 Q5 SE. All sorts of non-standard specs and a bit of a bargain to boot. No SatNav but doesn't bother me.

Once I got may hands on the chassis number I ran a quick check to find that the vehicle is part of a product recall due to sunroof drainage issues. The dealer was completely silent about this. Now it may be that the vehicle has been recalled and remedial action put in place but I will not find out until I speak with them tomorrow. (I am yet to pay balance).

Q. I would certainly have expected the dealer to mention a non-rectified recall issue but does anyone think they should also have mentioned a rectified recall issue. I'm in two minds.

Thanks for any advice you can give.
