Wooshing Sound

Hi All,
Every time I lift my foot off the accelerator to change gear (with the clutch in), I am hearing a very loud Whooshing sound, similar to that of the souped up subaru fleeing past with its "Dump Valves" whooshing away as it accelerates. My thoughts on it is that possibly my Turbo is on its way out, or possible intercooler problem (if my car has one !!!) I am not that mechanically minded to be honest.
Any one got any ideas what could be causing this ??? and how to repair it ??

Also , a mate told me to phone my nearest VW Dealer, as they were taking cars in back to 2005 reg, to replace the rusting front wing problem? Any info on this would be great, if anyone knows if such a scheme was in place and if it still exists .... ...... ...... ?????

What car do you have?, it could be slipped intercooler pipe.

It's a Pasatt estate, 1.9 diesel , 2006 model

I would check intake pipes and intercooler pipes, look for any sliped/cut pipes specially on bends and joints

Thanks for the suggestion ade555, Al get a look on Utube to find were the Intercooler is located and to get an idea what pipes to be looking for .
