    Hello everyone

While cleaning my A7 I was wondering what is the best way to clean and condition all the rubbers around the door areas? Some are going slight white and some a little green which wipe off. I just use soapy water to keep them clean but if there something better to use to help restore these ?

    Cheers
    Neil

Hi, Give them a good clean with APC diluted 5:1 and treat with something like Gummi Pflege.

    Cheers

Something like Meguiars APC is fine, but so is standard supermarket stuff (e.g. stardrops). If they are not too dirty, just start at 10:1 dilution and then stronger if needed. Spray on to a microfibre or applicator to avoid getting it on the paintwork as the APC would remove the protection there. Don't leave it on too long. Work on small areas at a time. Then treat when suitably clean. Gummi Pflege Stift has anti-freezing properties so ideal for A7s and the like where the windows drop a little on opening the doors. I use it on my A7 and my son's Scirocco.

There not too dirty yet but just wanted to address it before hand as it looks like one of those areas where the A7 rubbers are pretty important. I do appreciate the further instructions which is really helpful thanks and good advice for the winter too.
