Recently bought an allroad, slowly working through problems.

The drivers window goes down fine, returns fine for the fires 1/4 then slows and stops at half closed.

You can aid it up and get it fully closed.

Spoke to previous owner, they have had the regulator replaced, then a while after the window wouldnt close, so they took it back to the garage and they said it needed adjusting.... anyway it then worked well again, all up antill the time I bought the car when it started to mess around again.

Is there adjustment to the window?

Or is it likely a duff regulator again?

    Thanks

... probably dirty runners gathered over the years. Wind down window. Remove the two screws - one at either end of the interior door trim below window near hinge and lock. Push screwdriver up into the hole in the underneath of the widows switch to remove and disconnect. Now lift up the trim 8 inches and remove from door and release the door lock cable behind it. You can now move the trim away sufficiently to get at the window runners (just the wiring is left attached). Clean with rag and wd40 (or equivalent). Before reassembly, connect window switch and test the window raises and lowers smoothely.
