Can someone recommend some tyres for my A4 Avant B8?

I second this. Am using 255/35/19 Continental contact 5s at the moment and they are very grippy. The wear seems to be pretty reasonable too. I do not know how expensive they are relative to other tyres though...I got mine in a deal when having my alloys refurbished.

AO or regular 5's ?

I've got a feeling they may be the AO's. Its dark outside right now otherwise I'd go out and check. If I remember to check on my way to work in the morning I'll post back here.

I've got MO's on mine - Mercedes spec ones - and I can tell you that in all honesty, I cannot the difference.

I also have a letter from Continental that says that it's absolutely fine putting MO on an Audi or AO on a Merc - or just using regular ones. Sometimes there are minor optimisations but I think the difference isn't as big as they'd have you believe.
