Headlight switch surround

Hi all, I wonder have any of you come across this issue before. I have a rather worn headlight switch for my audi A6 C5 so I have been trying to find a replacement or repair set for the surround however everything I see online is backwards compared to my headlight switch, when I went to my local Audi main dealer they also handed me out the surround which was the opposite of mine. (and looked at me like i was nuts when i said it was the opposite way around in my car)

so can anyone tell me either 1. where i can get a surround like the one on the left in the attachment (the one on the right is the standard replacement i can easily get) or 2. how can i invert the dashboard mounting to mount this one the other way around.
