should take that to your dealer. £199 for oil change. just say it shouldn't matter if the car is 3 year old or not it's the same filter and oil. just tell them to punch someone else's reg in when they book it.
Strange thing in the fixed pricing is the prices are different between a6 and a7. Surely they share the same platform and same parts but the a7 is more expensive. So even within the same brand you got different prices for the more expensive cars.
Nice find and essentially validates my initial point that the dealer is taking the **** as charging nearly £100 more for an oil change which forms only part of the interim service price of £199 and I don't even need the checks etc done is just plain ridiculous

These are set by audi and not the dealers to promote used cars back to the dealerships rather than independents so dealerships have less control but since the a6 technically hasn't changed in the past 5-6 year it really shouldn't matter.
As said it's worth talking to them. I've done well getting services cheap from my dealer but I bought my cars there so they were willing to haggle a bit

Try the Audi Service Price Match. I've used it every time I've had a service or work done on my A6. Main dealer servicing at reasonable and realistic prices.

All independent garages are going to be way cheaper than Audi's prices, regardless if it's a simple oil change or a full service.

The independent garage's won't have anywhere near the over heads of a dealership. In respect to building maintenance & cost of actually building the dealership, all of the equipment a mainstream dealer requires, which is not just in the workshop, but all of the equipment to run the front of the business.

    mot-garage-image.jpg

Audi dealerships will need to cover
Cost of the design, planning & building of the center
    Stock of used cars
    Workshop equipment
    Staff
    Showroom equipment
Server rooms, hardware, software licensing etc
Cost of paying Audi (Audi take a % cut of each service)
Yearly costs of accessing Audi systems
    Training of Staff
    Yearly Accounts auditing
    Solicitors
    loan cars
    Dealership profit
    shareholders
    Free food & coffee
    etc, etc, etc

All of the above has to be paid for and none of it's cheap.

they really should have shopped around a bit, tried nfu , got it down to 1 mill easy.. 1.1 is just way too much... no wonder they charge so much for labour.

just a tiny bit off topic here. i'm doing about 10.000 miles every 2-3 months.
as i am not having a service book, i'm kinda curious in why and what it is replaced with every service.
i am curious to see if i really have to go with the small service/big service/small service/big service pattern

has anyone managed to find the service book online somewhere?

    thanks for all your help

There is no money to be made in dealerships anymore. The prices they charge are just great for the Indies.

Why not buy the Oil and Filter and do the oil swap yourself. Exactly what i did and it didnt void the warranty because there is no way Audi can check whether you changed the oil.
I think the 2 year service schedule is a bit too long for the car to wait for an oil drop so i do the interim myself
