    Hi all,

Looking for some advice - we've got a 2003 A4 Avant 1.9TDi 130 SE and the aircon is playing up. I set it on 'auto' but it is noticeably colder out of the drivers vent than the centre or passenger vent, could someone suggest what the problem might be?!

I though that one of the flaps or motors for said flaps may be sticking/failed? The defrost flap was playing up last autumn so i replaced that, just don't want to tear it apart without a little more info, that s all. Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated!

    Jonny

You'll have to take the glove box out again and look at the other two flap motors the red one probably disconnect the lever and close by hand.

A scan would let you know which one is at fault. If you can't do that then remove the drivers side knee bolster (4 x 8mm bolts) and don't forget to pop out the OBD11 socket, then there's a shield for the aircon pipes to remove, then you can have a look at the motors while adjusting the heat. This is the one I had to replace as I had no heat STELLMOTOR KLIMA HEIZUNG GEBLĂ„SE AUDI A4 B6 B7 8E 8E2820511 NR20 | eBay

Don't remove the clutch or brake switch to reach the bolts or you will have to replace them, you have been warned, I found out the hard way.
