That's the privelage of being first owner, nothing wrong with it and works out fine if you change for another new car every 3 or 4 years. but it is something I look at when looking or buying further down the food chain and would probably avoid an engine with 80k and 4 oil changes.

I agree. I hope to change my car every 4 years at the moment. However, I'm so blown away with the difference between that car and my new BE, that I may keep this longer so funnily enough this will be getting oil every 10k.

The cost for me to do this was only around £55. Both the oil and filter came from a main dealer and it's the proper long life LL3 oil. Granted the labour was free because I'm used to doing oil changes myself but at that price it's a no brainer. The coolant on the invoice was just for me to top mine up. It's been on just above the minimum mark since day one and has been winding me up that it's not neatly on the Max mark.

What is the oil capacity of the Ultra engine (2.0) out of interest?

I don't know the exact figure but it took around 4.5 litres of the 5 litre can.

I did the same on my 6 month old car with 3k on the clock same oil and the same oil filter bought from TPS RRP £31.39 with discount £26.67.
I have since found the oil cheaper on e-bay two 5ltr longlife111 5W-30 for £36.99.

Do you have a link for that oil, it's a bargain?

Considering the miniscule cost of oil and a filter I don't understand why more folks don't dabble .
