    Hi guys
I am getting an annoying groaning/rubbing noise when turning either way at low speed on my b7 2.0 tdi 2013 with 80k. Driving off on lock/reverse on lock. Does not happen with clutch engaged. Have been under the car and although I am no expert I can't see any oil,torn/worn boots, control arm bushings look good also, checked there was no rubbing against the dust guard. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

Maybe top up the power steering fluid.

    Hi.
Thanks for the reply. If I am not mistaken the steering is electric so there is no fluid.

Anyone else any ideas? Have been searching google heavily to no avail. One point I have come across is the rear diff. Hopefully it's not that.

Like a mooing noise? I would check rear caliper sliders and it sounds like mk4 golf rear calipers before they fitted spring assisters to return the handbrake levers to rest. Check they are sitting at the rest point .

Have the gearbox oil changed, this is a well documented problem with hypoid oil after high mileages causing the diff to groan.
