Longlife Oil change mileage

We have just about stopped using Platinum because it WAS not suitable for VAG vehicles with a DPF (even though it is marketed by VAG UK....) BUT now Quantum have chnaged supplier of Platinum from Castrol to Fuchs it is NOW suitable for VAG with DPF although to keep it simple I think we will just stick to LL3 in future on everything.

Buuuuuut how do you actually get VCDS to change the computer to the long life setting, buggered if I can see how! Any pointers?

As I want to do an inter oil change, would you say this - Castrol Edge Titanium 5w-30 LL FST Fully Synthetic Car Engine Oil, is the right stuff to use in my 190 Ultra?

how do you actually get VCDS to change the computer to the long life setting

It can be a pain. In theory IF there is a menu in SRI this MAY work or get close with some tweaking being necessary in Adaptations BUT usually all the parameters have to be individually set up in adaptations 10 using the drop down menu and the MMI readout until you get the figures you are looking for. There are many variations and the later ones are complex plus you have to remember an Audi oil chnage is a VCDS service and an Inspection is a service, or is it the other way around, drives me nuts! The lads here can't get there heads around it so I have to do them all and if it is just a splash and dash oil chnage the coding can take longer than the job, stupid! I have an RS4 in today for a suspension kit, we serviced it two weeks ago and it has only done 100miles and the display still says ------ with no info.
