Can anyone advise on how to replace the battery in the key pls? Is it a straight swap, does it have to be re-coded, etc?

One of my keys has stopped working.

    Thx
    J

I have just replaced my keyfob battery, removed the key blade part and push the button to remove the button tray. Mine was a CR2032 and just worked as normal after.

I've used both - I think the only difference is the mAh. One will last longer than the other.
After being caught out once - I always keep a spare in the glove box, for when it starts 'playing up'!

I've done a key fob swap with pictures not too long ago but it should help outline how to change the battery - scroll down to the pictures and it's essentially the black notch in picture 2 that you press down>pull out
When you've inserted the new battery, take note of the red led at the top of the fob which should blink if you've put the battery in correctly

Question Can the fob be dismantled?
