    Hi everyone,

I have brought a 63 plate A6 Allroad. I love the car and the 3ltr diesel is such a smooth engine.

I see a lot of people talking about the mirror dropping in reverse to help when reversing and my old Bmw used to do it. My question is should my allroad? Does anyone know what pack it comes with?

    Many Thanks

    James

Not sure if it comes standard in your car but can be enabled in VCDS if you want it there.

Make sure the selector is on the passenger wing mirror and not on heat or drivers side.

I've tried the selector. Just wondered when it comes as standard as the car is still under warranty so if it's meant to work I would take it in

Can you please tell me, where did you found this selector in the MMI menu?

Been a while so I hope memory proves right.

Set the selector to left mirror.
Put gear in to reverse (ignition on)
If mirror doesn't dip, dip it manually.
Now change gear out of reverse - to drive or neutral.
Car should remember the dip setting.

I've tried the selecting left mirror and dipping in reverse but doesn't work. Does anyone know what pack it comes under? I have all round parking sensors etc.

Passenger mirror dip comes with the electric memory seats option from the factory. It can be enabled by anyone with VCDS software and cable, though. Take a look at the VCDS map to see if there are any forum members near you who could do this for you. Alternatively, drop in next time you are passing Stoke and I will do it for you

    Cheers!
