Hi new user here, really need help!! My Audi coupe has been great for over a year and in the last couple of months I've been having trouble: I don't really know how best to describe it but it's like a kangaroo when using the throttle, it judders aggressively like it's almost misfiring but I've had the leads changed except one which had a sensor on the mechanic didn't know what to do about it.
I've had the throttle position sensor replaced, the rotar arm and the distribution cap all replaced. But no still seems to know what's wrong.
I took it out for a spin today and unplugged the sensor attached to the ignition lead (believe it's called an impulse sensor) and it ran smoother but still jumping around like im hitting the throttle then brake really quickly and when I got to speed if I pushed on the throttle it was like it cut out completely and nothing was happening.
If any body knows something please help, missing having her on the road.
    Thanks in advance.

first you need a code read, but you need someone with the correct 2 plugs to go into your diag port in the fusebox. then you need someone who can check the fuel pressure regulator which is a common cause of problems, but again you need the right kit. these are great cars but the bosch k jetronic injection is a bit of a mix of 1940's mechanicals and 1990's electronics, so not the easiest thing in the world to understand or diagnose. you really need to find a old skool vw specialist with the kit needed. i dont know how far you are from nottingham, as rumour has it theres a bloke in a shed there who could sort it.

incidentally, an audi 80 with the ACE engine needs a cat test at mot time, but an audi coupe doesn't, as an audi coupe ACE doesn't appear in the black book, so it only needs a normal exhaust test, less than 3.5 % co. its one of those odd ball cars built in a time of change... really loved mine, would deffo have another.
