    Hi all,

    I had my MOT and the chap said I need the left front shock replacing he said the drivers side is in good condition, my question would i need to replace both shock or can i get away with replacing just the one?

    best action is to replace both. one is broek, other sure to follow soon, plus a new one and an old one wont work together so the car will feel very unstable. but, to get an mot if you are skint, and its the sort of skint where its feed the kids and dog or fix the car, not the sort of skint where its either a cheap fortnight in barbados or go for the seychelles, then one will do as a short term measure.
    Audi 80 tdi avant with 360,000 miles...

    Hi Mate,

    Thanks for the reply and sorry for replying late been away with family, just a quick Q would i need to have the wheel alignment done after having the shocks replaced?

    I would love to see person who feels difference when changing out only one shock if other is ok on daily driver car. It is safe to recommend like this, but...
