If you can't get the car up very high, you might be able to get into the turbo intake by removing the bottom engine cover tray and OS front wheel arch liner ( with wheel off of course!) that exposes the crank pulley, turbo pipes and compressor housing. and make sure the car is properly supported on a stand.

Well I had a day of it yesterday investergateing this squeel. I managed to get into the turbo and there was no play in the core stall and all the pipes for the turbo system were a perfect fit with no cracks or breaks in the system and the egr valve is also nice and clean. And spoke to the bloke who had it before me and just before I baught it he did the head gasket and cleaned out all the air filter/pipes, egr system, intercooler system and the turbo system. So now I am tell struggling to locate this squeel and the location. Going to have another look today but not sure what to start checking now lol. Bloody car :/

It could be an EGR pipe leak.
